PBA World Champioships in Witchita, KS

I had the great pleasure of visiting the PBA Tour stop in Witchita, KS this past week. I went to Kansas to help a friend with the Verve! Booth that we were sponsoring for the Pro-Am tournaments. I also bowled in one of the pro-ams, that was a blast as well. I had Troy Wollenbecker and Randy Pederson crossing with me, it's a treat to bowl with some real talented bowlers.

The event was amazing, I watched all the greats like Walter Ray, Parker Bohn, Doug Kent, Mika, Tommy Jones, Rudy Revs. etc, and talked to several pros about building their websites including Rudy Revs & Todd Book. I got to hang out with my good friends Michael Haugen Jr, Andrew Cain, Ken Simard and Missy Bellinder during the tournament, I watch them bowl and practice. I got some pics (see below) with the greats and video footage that will be posted later, including some video of Rudy Revs ripping the on ball :)

Adding 2 new balls to my arsenal!

Well, I have been struggling with some of my equipment and it's time to add a couple new pieces to my arsenal. I will be retiring my Ebonite Clash and my Ebonite One, replacing them with the new Ebonite Playmaker and going back to my old school days and throwing a Hammer, the Hammer Emerald Vibe.

First PBA Regional Bowled

Well, I got the opportunity to bowl my first PBA Regional here in Phoenix, AZ at Sunset lanes on July 12, 2008. I will admit I was a little nervous going into the event, I haven't bowled with this type of caliber bowlers before, I've been to some large tournaments in Las Vegas, but nothing like this. I wasn't sure if I was ready or up to "pair" with the pros, etc. I went to the practice session on Friday before qualifying on Sat to line up on the Chameleon pattern which I have only bowled on once.
